Taking Years of Dirt off Tiles ...

You just bought a foreclosed house, with tile flooring throughout it. It doesn't take much to return the tiles back into shinning flooring as if they were new.

All you need is;

1. A spray container(opt)

2.A firm brush( if you don't have a firm brush you can use a broom)- the firmer the better because it will remove the dirt better, also if the brush has a long handle your back and knees will thank you later.

3. Vinegar

4. A swifter-mop (or sponge mop)

5 and a regular old mop bucket and mop.

Steps;

1. Spray the vinegar ( or pour the) vinegar onto the flooring and let sit for a few seconds, since the vinegar has a high acidity it will loosen the dirt.

2. Take the brush and scrub the floor, pushing the excess vinegar across the tiles- this removes any stuck on dirt.

3. Use the sponge mop/swifter to mop up any excess vinegar and the now loose dirt.

4. Let the floor dry.

5. You may notice some stickiness or tackiness when walking on the floor. To fix this just mop the floor with the regular mop and water, or even the swifter.

You are done, and your tiles look new. Clean tiles can even brighten up your home.
